Originally built in the 1700s, the Black Lion has been extensively refurbished to provide contemporary design and modern comforts, whilst still retaining its historic charm and features. The fine dining restaurant and champagne bar have also been refurbished to offer an elegant and stylish environment. The Black Lion boasts an ideal base for exploring St Albans and the surrounding areas; the town centre is just a short walk away, as is the park where monks bred fish for the monastery over 1000 years ago.
